案僧亮曰：上說凡聖滅異，未釋所以，重此難也。寶亮、智秀悉同此釋。
Sengliang states: "Above, the difference between the extinction of ordinary persons and sages was spoken of, but the reason was not yet explained, so he repeats this objection." Baoliang and Zhixiu both agree with this explanation.
