16.140

案僧亮曰：此人解佛所說，解即是法，故可依也。知如來常，若言無常，無是處者。解既同佛，亦即是佛也。

Sengliang notes: This person understands what the Buddha taught; understanding is identical to the Dharma, so he can be relied upon. Knowing that the Tathāgata is permanent, if someone says he is impermanent, there is no such possibility. Since his understanding is identical to the Buddha's, he is also identical to the Buddha.
