16.24

案僧亮曰：稽古有行，居然可宗，但人未推也。僧宗曰：弟子雖習師德，而年尚少，道未伏物。

Sengliang comments: Examining the past, he had conduct that was naturally worthy of reverence, but people had not yet promoted him. Sengzong says: Although the disciple practiced the master's virtue, his years were still few, and his path had not yet subdued beings.
