案僧亮曰：第六段，明敬師之儀也。僧宗曰：四依之德實可尊貴，能生人善，宜供養也。智秀曰：勸養有四翻，第一正勸；第二辨供養之法；第三問答辨供養之方；第四問答，論能現為惡者，此人破戒不？此即第一勸供養也。

Sengliang comments: The sixth section explains the etiquette of revering teachers. Sengzong says: The virtues of the four reliances are truly venerable and precious, able to generate good in others, and should be offered to. Zhixiu says: Encouraging offerings has four turns: first, directly encouraging; second, distinguishing the method of making offerings; third, questions and answers distinguishing the manner of making offerings; fourth, questions and answers discussing: regarding one who can manifest as doing evil, does this person break the precepts or not? This is the first, encouraging offerings.
