18.107

案道生曰：所言雇者，必能示其金藏耳。僧亮曰：以三達四辯，必能廣說也。法瑤曰：如來方便，先說無我，為令眾生兼濟理通。理通由佛，故云能示也。慧朗述曇纖曰：子譬未來解也。

Daosheng states: What was spoken of as hiring certainly involves being able to show her the storehouse of gold. Sengliang states: With the three knowledges and the four unimpeded knowledges, he can certainly expound it extensively. Fayao states: By the Tathāgata's expedients, he first expounded non-self in order to cause sentient beings to universally benefit and allow the principle to penetrate. The penetration of principle originates from the Buddha; hence it says 'can show'. Huilang recounting Tanxian states: The son illustrates future understanding.
