18.111

案道生曰：理不可沒，唯我能知也。僧亮曰：有惑故雖近而不知，無惑故雖遠而能見也。法瑤曰：此理唯佛能照，始可稱審也。

Daosheng states: The principle cannot perish; only I can know it. Sengliang states: Because they have delusion, though it is near they do not know; because he has no delusion, though it is distant he can see it. Fayao states: Only the Buddha can illuminate this principle; only then can it be called 'truly'.
