案僧亮曰：上來窮撿理極，今責住處，若不偏在一方，便應遍在眾處。此先一一處以撿其無也。

Sengliang states: Up to this point, the examination of principle was pursued to the utmost; now he questions its dwelling place. If it is not partially located in one place, then it ought to be ubiquitously located in all places. Here he first examines each individual place to scrutinize its absence.
