18.69

案僧亮曰：無佛性者，佛性無惑，故自在不斷；惑故不應自在也。寶亮曰：有兩階。從初訖「是名顛倒」，先明前倒也。次從「佛法有我」以下，次明後倒也。雖說有我，無有佛性者但計神我為我，不說佛性我也。

Sengliang says: "As for 'without buddhadhātu': buddhadhātu is without delusion, so it is sovereign and uninterrupted; because of delusion, one is not sovereign." Baoliang says: "There are two stages. From the beginning up to 'this is called an inversion', he first clarifies the former inversion. Next, from 'the Buddha-Dharma has a self' downward, he next clarifies the latter inversion. As for 'although speaking of having a self, there is no buddhadhātu': one merely calculates a spiritual self as the self, but does not speak of the self of buddhadhātu."
