19.38

案僧亮曰：承上語勢，有此問也。若性不可殺，似應殺生無罪也。僧宗曰：此難意欲令解釋以不離故言有耳，非為已有與陰一也。

Sengliang states: Following the momentum of the preceding words, there arises this question. If the nature cannot be killed, it seems that killing living beings would incur no sin. Sengzong states: The intention of this objection is to prompt an explanation that it is spoken of as existing merely because it is not separate [from the aggregates], not that an already existent entity is identical with the aggregates.
