案僧亮曰：九住已下，不能得見也。法瑤曰：以煩惱䨱故，雖有佛性，眾生不見也。僧宗曰：無有十地慧目，所以不能見也。
Sengliang comments: Those of the ninth stage and below cannot see it. Fayao comments: Because it is covered by defilements, although there is the buddhadhātu, sentient beings do not see it. Sengzong comments: Lacking the wisdom eye of the tenth bhūmi, they are therefore unable to see it.
