19.82

案僧亮曰：已歸未來身中三寶，進行趣極，名知我也。我所者，法僧也。此四，體一而義異。佛與我義，義一而名殊也。寶亮曰：知我者，是我未來性也。我所者，謂十地之行，是我所應行也。若能如此知者，已是出世之人也。

Sengliang comments: Having taken refuge in the Three Jewels within one's future body, advancing practice toward the ultimate is called 'knowing the self'. 'What belongs to the self' means the Dharma and Saṅgha. These four are one in substance but different in meaning. The Buddha and the self are one in meaning but distinct in name. Baoliang says: 'Knowing the self' is my future nature. 'What belongs to the self' refers to the practices of the ten stages, which are what I ought to practice. If one can know in this way, one is already a person who has transcended the world.
