案僧亮曰：各作是念。若有所乏者，此下說三種心也。道慧記曰：八功德水者，謂輕、冷、軟、美、清淨、不臭、飲時調適、飲已無患也。

Sengliang comments: Each formed this thought. 'If there is any lack' refers to the three kinds of mind explained below. Daohui's Records states: The water of eight virtues refers to light, cold, soft, delicious, pure, odor-free, soothing when drank, and causing no illness after drinking.
