2.37

案僧亮曰：向告令知，今除罪障也。僧宗曰：罪語於果，垢惱語因也。寶亮曰：此言滅者，據伏除也。謂覩光者心緣勝境，三毒不得並起，但生淨心，故云罪滅。

Sengliang states: Previously he announced it to let them know; now he removes their karmic obstacles.
Sengzong states: "Sin" refers to the fruit; "defilement and affliction" refer to the cause.
Baoliang states: Speaking here of "extinguishing" is based on suppression and removal. It means that when those who behold the light direct their minds to the supreme realm, the three poisons cannot arise concurrently; they only produce pure minds, hence it says "sins were extinguished".
