案僧亮曰：師子王者，空慧既成，戒定皆是無漏空慧。如王餘德，如子也。道慧記曰：此不取王為譬，乃總歎諸功德更相圍繞也。

Sengliang comments: Regarding the 'lion king', when empty wisdom is already perfected, morality and concentration are all uncontaminated empty wisdom. Like the king, the remaining virtues are like the lion's offspring. Daohui's Records states: This does not take the king as a metaphor, but is a comprehensive praise of all the virtues mutually surrounding one another.
