案僧亮曰：言十四音而所列十二者，《瑞應經》云「書缺二字」，以此為證也。寶亮曰：若就此文而斷，正應用涅槃為二字；然相傳不取，未詳所以也。

Sengliang comments: Regarding the mention of fourteen sounds while only twelve are listed, the Ruiying jing says that "the script lacks two characters," which serves as proof for this. Baoliang comments: If determined based on this text, it should precisely take nirvāṇa as the two characters; yet tradition does not adopt this, and the reason remains unclear.
