21.5

案道生曰：因上所言。凡夫所謂我者，本出於佛，今明外道所說亦皆如是。然則文字語言，當理者是佛、乖則凡夫，於佛皆成真實、於凡皆成俗諦也。

Daosheng notes: "Following on from what was said above. What ordinary persons call a self originally derived from the Buddha; now it is clarified that what non-Buddhists say is also entirely like this. Thus, regarding letters and language, that which accords with principle is the Buddha, and that which deviates is the ordinary person; with the Buddha, they all become real truth, while with the ordinary person, they all become conventional truth."
