23.34

案僧亮曰：此語勢及之，非義宗也。謂其罪既重，法不能救耳。僧宗曰：上來八譬，悉以呪經也。此兩譬，佛菩薩也。寶亮曰：第十一譬，由以除八倒為喻也。

Sengliang comments: This follows the momentum of the words and is not the doctrinal tenet. It simply means that since their sins are grave, the Dharma cannot save them. Sengzong comments: The eight parables above all used incantations and sūtras. These two parables use the Buddha and bodhisattvas. Baoliang comments: The eleventh parable is still used to illustrate the elimination of the eight inversions.
