24.20

案僧亮曰：將問差別，先難無差。謂因亦是有、果亦是有，有義不異，有何差別？眾生有性，似如已有，致此難也。

Sengliang comments: Being about to question the distinction, he first challenges the lack of distinction. He thinks that the cause is an existent, and the fruit is also an existent; since the sense of existence is not different, what distinction is there? Sentient beings having the nature seems as if they already possess it, which prompted this objection.
