24.44

案僧亮曰：次答云何示多頭唯願大仙說也。以說勸信，謂說者是佛，佛有大慈，是眾生父母之言，不可不信也。「所以者何」以下，一音所說各各得解，證慈也。

Sengliang comments: Next is the answer to: 'How does he show many heads? We only pray the Great Sage will explain.' He encourages faith through preaching: saying that the speaker is the Buddha, that the Buddha has great compassion and is the father and mother of sentient beings, so his words cannot be disbelieved. From 'Why is this?' onward, that each gains understanding from what is spoken with a single voice proves his compassion.
