案僧亮曰：第五現涅槃事訖也。智秀曰：就付囑中有五重，第一天人請、第二佛答、第三天人設供養、第四為受記、第五付囑也。
Sengliang notes: The fifth matter, manifesting nirvāṇa, is completed. Zhixiu says: Within the entrustment there are five tiers: first, the devas and humans request; second, the Buddha answers; third, the devas and humans present offerings; fourth, he confers prophecies upon them; fifth, the entrustment.
