案道生曰：二乘不知常住，故不知樂因。僧亮曰：解苦者，解三苦也。無苦者，說下苦為樂，樂非苦也。
Daosheng comments: The two vehicles do not know the permanently abiding, and so they do not know the cause of pleasure. Sengliang comments: Understanding suffering refers to understanding the three sufferings. 'Without suffering' means speaking of a lesser suffering as pleasure; pleasure is not suffering.
