33.42

案僧亮曰：說無漏行異無漏，能滅諸行也。所謂聲聞心性異乃至外道心者，上明苦樂煩惱，說佛弟子；此說外道，不能分別諸色，正以了為心，了青不可了黃，眼識不能具取色也。

Sengliang comments: He explains that uncontaminated practices are distinct from uncontaminated [results], and can eliminate all formations. Regarding 'the so-called difference in the mental nature of the śrāvaka, up to the mind of non-Buddhists,' the above elucidated suffering, pleasure, and afflictions, speaking of the Buddha's disciples; here he speaks of non-Buddhists who cannot distinguish between various forms, taking mere discerning as mind: when discerning blue one cannot discern yellow, so the eye-consciousness cannot grasp forms in their entirety.
