案僧宗曰：第八聲之所聞遠近異。昔止梵天，今徹十方廿恒沙世界之也。
Sengzong says: The eighth clarifies the difference in the distance the sound was heard: in the past it stopped at the Brahmā heaven; now it reaches twenty Ganges-sands of worlds in the ten directions.
