案僧亮曰：不樂者，嫉妬也。四種煩惱不可一行頓除，須眾行相助，是伴義也。僧宗曰：且以三句總詶非一二三之難也。

Sengliang states: Displeasure is jealousy. The four kinds of defilements cannot be eliminated all at once by a single practice; they require the mutual assistance of multiple practices, which is the meaning of 'companion'. Sengzong states: He provisionally uses three phrases to respond comprehensively to the objection that it is not one, two, or three.
