案僧亮曰：第五譬明不瞋加惡。若瞋加惡，無益之苦，菩薩則不為也。結捨自有別地，今但言三耳。
Sengliang comments: The fifth simile clarifies not becoming angry when evil is inflicted upon oneself. If one became angry when evil was inflicted, that would be useless suffering, which a bodhisattva does not undertake. Concluding equanimity has its own distinct stage; here only three [immeasurables] are discussed.
