4.81

案僧宗曰：此第五段，從此入偈，盡十一行半也。喜有二意：一以蒙解受供故喜、二為大眾所悅可故喜也。寶亮曰：純陀歡喜有三意，一意以佛受供故喜；二以檀度既成，入聖流故喜；三為眾人所歎故喜也。

Sengzong comments: This is the fifth section. From here it enters the verses, running for eleven and a half stanzas. His joy has two meanings: first, he rejoiced because his offering was accepted through his understanding; second, he rejoiced because he was approved of by the great assembly. Baoliang says: Cunda's joy has three reasons: first, he rejoiced because the Buddha accepted his offering; second, he rejoiced because, the perfection of generosity being fulfilled, he entered the noble stream; third, he rejoiced because he was praised by the multitude.
