Sengliang comments: The first four and a half stanzas rejoice individually in his own fortune, having internally obtained a human body and externally encountered the Buddha's era, transcending the six paths. The next four stanzas generally explain the reason why he was able to accomplish the perfection of generosity: because externally he encountered that master who crosses the world over, and internally he brought forth correct vows. The next two stanzas provide similes for his joy. The next stanza speaks of gods and humans taking refuge in him, concluding the reason for his congratulation. Baoliang says: The first four and a half lines rejoice in leaving behind birth and death in the six paths; the next two lines rejoice in encountering what is difficult to encounter; the next two lines make vows; the next three lines narrate the matter of his joy.
