40.8

案僧亮曰：此下說經之能也。依經修行，速得出世。如〈聖行品〉末功德藏王所說也。寶亮曰：此下廣料簡知見覺人也，故迦葉因難以啟發耳。智秀曰：此訖六念，第六段辨菩薩世出世異。有三意：第一約戒定慧、第二約法師儀軌、第三約六念法，明其同異。

Sengliang states: Below this, he explains the power of the sūtra. Cultivating according to the sūtra, one quickly transcends the world. This is just like what was taught at the end of the 'Chapter on Noble Conduct' by the King of the Treasury of Merits. Baoliang states: Below this, he broadly categorizes those who know, see, and perceive; hence Kāśyapa relies on a difficulty to initiate it. Zhixiu states: From here up to the six recollections, this is the sixth section distinguishing the difference between mundane and supramundane bodhisattvas. There are three meanings: first, regarding precepts, concentration, and wisdom; second, regarding the deportment and rules for Dharma masters; third, regarding the practice of the six recollections, clarifying their similarities and differences.
