41.12

案僧亮曰：遣三塗之畏也。信戒施聞慧，三界天因；我今具之，無地獄等苦。世天無常，迴此功德以求義天，永離生死，何有生死之畏。

Sengliang comments: This dispels fear of the three lower destinies. Faith, precepts, generosity, learning, and wisdom are the causes for the gods of the three realms. Since I now possess them, there is no suffering of hell and the like. Worldly gods are impermanent; dedicating this merit to seek the gods of supreme truth, one leaves saṃsāra forever—how could there be any fear of saṃsāra?
