41.24

案僧亮曰：上二菩薩未階初地，而心堅固，由經力致爾。重結上二事也。寶亮曰：第三事，明眾生發心雖多而成就者少，此人見經而能畢竟不退也。

Sengliang comments: The above two bodhisattvas have not yet stepped onto the first ground, yet their minds are steadfast; this is brought about through the power of the sūtra. This reconcludes the above two matters. Baoliang says: The third matter clarifies that although many sentient beings generate the mind, few accomplish it; yet this person, upon seeing the sūtra, can remain ultimately non-retrogressing.
