44.16

案僧亮曰：以五門破定罪相，成王所解也。第一門，說是假名無有定相。僧宗曰：第三翻就三世分之，則無罪也。

Sengliang notes: By means of five gates he refutes the fixed characteristic of offenses, completing what the king understood. The first gate explains that these are nominal designations without fixed characteristics. Sengzong says: The third turn distinguishes them with respect to the three periods of time, and thus there is no offense.
