44.8

案僧亮曰：王不發菩提心，罪不可滅。發心者，由見凡夫之過。此二十事，說凡夫之過也。僧宗曰：第六為王說法也。有十一翻，此即第一先命觀二十事。就身為其相既淺，如似伏惑。

Sengliang notes: If the king does not generate the bodhicitta, his offenses cannot be eliminated. Generating the mind arises from seeing the faults of ordinary people. These twenty matters explain the faults of ordinary people. Sengzong says: The sixth is preaching the Dharma for the king. There are eleven turns; this is the first, first bidding him to contemplate the twenty matters. Approaching them with respect to the body, their characteristics are shallow, resembling the suppression of delusion.
