46.96

案僧亮曰：滿月世尊所以不於彼答者，事現於此八萬四千一聞而悟。云問不待釋而自解也，彼土菩薩愧其愚鈍，必願生淨國。琉璃光所以問也。寶亮曰：凡二十一行偈，明修十善離十惡，故生彼國。先答第一問。

Sengliang notes: The reason why the World-Honoured One Full Moon did not answer there was that the matter was manifested here, where eighty-four thousand beings awakened upon hearing it once. It means that the question was understood on its own without waiting for an explanation. The bodhisattvas of that land felt ashamed of their dullness, and inevitably aspired to be born in that pure land; this was why Vaiḍūryaprabhā made the inquiry. Baoliang says: In all, there are twenty-one lines of verse, clarifying that by practicing the ten virtues and abandoning the ten non-virtues one is born in that land. This first answers the first question.
