案僧亮曰：凡夫因世俗、聲聞因聖道者，更釋非之義也。還生煩惱者，釋凡夫也。有習氣者，釋聲聞也。

Sengliang comments: Ordinary persons relying on the worldly, and śrāvakas relying on the noble path, further explains the meaning of why it is not [mahānirvāṇa]. That afflictions arise again explains ordinary persons. Having residual impressions explains śrāvakas.
