5.24

案僧宗曰：第三譬初勝，後不如也。佛昔道樹之下威神魏魏，如何今遂失勢力耶？慧朗別述曰：第二譬也，不容如彼之失勢力也。

Sengzong states: The third parable begins with excellence and ends in decline. Beneath the Bodhi tree of old, the Buddha's awe-inspiring power was lofty and magnificent; how could he now suddenly lose power and strength?
Huilang's distinct commentary states: This is the second parable; it is inadmissible that he should lose power and strength like that.
