案僧亮曰：欲令廣上不食之義，故因催供，以顯之也。法瑤曰：上明如來無為，今因催供，以顯丈六非是無為，不同行相也。僧宗曰：此請門第七催供也。寶亮曰：此下催供，第四段也。

Sengliang comments: [Mañjuśrī] wished to have the aforementioned meaning of "not eating" expanded, so by prompting the offering he reveals it. Fayao comments: Above, it was explained that the Tathāgata is unconditioned (asaṃskṛta). Now, by prompting the offering, he reveals that the sixteen-foot [manifestation] is not unconditioned and does not have the same active characteristics. Sengzong comments: This is the seventh [section] of the request gate, prompting the offering. Baoliang comments: From here below, prompting the offering is the fourth section.
