案僧亮曰：答第三難。三寶義異，常住清淨不異，故說一不三也。寶亮曰：廣呵聲聞弟子之失，歎識六行之得也。若果會偏學，已會聖者，此中不應言聲聞之人；是魔眷屬，非我弟子。

Sengliang comments: This answers the third objection. The meanings of the three jewels differ, but their permanence and purity do not differ; hence He spoke of one, not three. / Baoliang comments: He broadly reproves the faults of the śrāvaka disciples and praises the attainment of understanding the six practices. If they were truly aligned with partial study and had already aligned with the noble ones, here He should not have said that śrāvaka people are the retinue of Māra and not my disciples.
