53.24

案僧亮曰：將欲答問，先讚歎也。僧宗曰：答中先答第二，次答第三，次答第三家子句。因答子句，義勢似答第一第四、別答第五也。寶亮曰：將欲答難，先讚歎之。明已問得時，師徒二人互相稱譽也。

Sengliang comments: Wishing to answer the questions, he first praises him. Sengzong says: Among the answers, he first answers the second, next answers the third, and next answers the sub-clause of the third. Because of answering the sub-clause, the momentum of the argument seems to answer the first and fourth, and separately answers the fifth. Baoliang says: Wishing to answer the objections, he first praises him. Clarifying that the questions were timely, master and disciple praise each other."
