案僧亮曰：中道智是佛也。道為智因，故說因為性耳。寶亮曰：既如因緣理而照，生中道之解，得名緣因佛性也。

Sengliang comments: The wisdom of the Middle Way is the Buddha. The Way is the cause of wisdom, hence the cause is spoken of as the [Buddha-]nature. Baoliang comments: Illumination having already accorded with the principle of causes and conditions, it gives rise to the understanding of the Middle Way and obtains the name of 'buddhadhātu as contributory cause'.
