案道生曰：因果之義：備於十二因緣中矣。十住菩薩其猶病諸，況二乘乎！僧亮曰：以上空有二門辨義，皆非二乘所測也。舉昔所說三事，證因緣理甚深，一歎理甚深、二眾生不知、三唯佛能了。下別釋也。僧宗曰：第七翻，非二乘所智，故曰無知無見也。

Daosheng comments: The meaning of cause and effect is fully present within the twelve links of dependent origination. Even bodhisattvas of the ten abodes still find it difficult, how much more so the two vehicles! Sengliang comments: The above explanation of the meaning through the two gates of emptiness and existence is completely beyond the comprehension of the two vehicles. Three points previously taught are cited to prove that the principle of dependent origination is exceedingly profound: first, praising the principle as exceedingly profound; second, that sentient beings do not know it; third, that only the Buddha can fully comprehend it. These are individually explained below. Sengzong comments: In the seventh turn, it is not known by the two vehicles; hence it says 'without knowledge and without vision'.
