54.61

案道生曰：若佛性不可得斷，便已有力用，而親在人體，理應可見，何故不見耶？僧亮曰：第四問若身中必有，何故不自見耶？僧宗曰：舉見以辨有無義也。寶亮曰：此問障法也。若必有者，何故不見？

Daosheng says: If the buddhadhātu cannot be severed, then it already has efficacy and function, and resides intimately within a person's body; in principle it should be visible, so why is it not seen? Sengliang says: The fourth asks: if it is certainly within the body, why do they not see it themselves? Sengzong says: He raises seeing in order to analyze the meaning of existence and nonexistence. Baoliang says: This asks about the dharmas that obstruct. If it definitely exists, why is it not seen?
