54.65

案道生曰：既云得見，以何眼見耶？乃以佛對之耳。僧亮曰：第六問也。僧宗曰：前據行以辨見，此據眼者，正以因之異也。寶亮曰：問所以不了。十地何眼故不了？佛五眼之中，用何眼而獨了了耶？

Daosheng comments: Since it was stated that they attain seeing, with what eye do they see? It is by taking the Buddha in contrast to them. Sengliang comments: This is the sixth question. Sengzong comments: Previously, seeing was distinguished based on practice; here it is based on the eye, precisely because of differences in the cause. Baoliang comments: This asks why they do not see clearly. Because of what eye do [bodhisattvas of] the tenth stage not see clearly? And among the five eyes of a Buddha, which eye does he use to see clearly alone?
