案僧亮曰：欲證有緣因之義，故更問也。僧宗曰：迴換譬耳，義同前釋。寶亮曰：二俱是無，而一生一不生，故知先定有明矣。

Sengliang comments: Wishing to prove the meaning of having contributory causes, he therefore asks again. Sengzong comments: This merely swaps the metaphor; the meaning is the same as the previous explanation. Baoliang comments: Both are equally non-existent, yet one produces it and one does not; hence it is clear that we know it is definitely pre-existent.
