案僧亮曰：第七難也。若菩提心本無今有者，果亦應爾也。寶亮曰：若眾生先無三菩提，今方有者，是則本無今有，故知先無也。與上難前後為異耳。

Sengliang states: This is the seventh objection. If the bodhicitta originally did not exist and now exists, the fruit ought to be likewise. Baoliang states: If sentient beings previously lacked sambodhi and now only come to have it, then it is originally non-existent and now existent; hence we know it was previously absent. It differs from the preceding objection merely in [the order of] before and after.
