案僧亮曰：答第五難也。寶亮曰：還答第二問也。明菩提之心實非正因也。我言悉有者，謂正因佛性也。斷緣中所生善，故名一闡提也。

Sengliang states: This answers the fifth objection. Baoliang states: He returns to answering the second question. He explains that the mind of bodhi is truly not the direct cause. When I say 'all possess it', I refer to the direct-cause buddhadhātu. Because one severs the good born from conditions, one is named an icchantika.
