57.26

案僧亮曰：陰長結短容有相縛，而名色眾生無長無短，更以為譬也。寶亮曰：因成假名，更無別法起，其旨始顯也。

Sengliang comments: If the aggregates are long and the fetters short, they might tolerate binding each other; yet name-and-form and sentient beings have neither length nor shortness, so he uses them further as an analogy. Baoliang says: Formed as a nominal designation from causes, no separate dharma arises; its purport now begins to become apparent.
