57.6

案僧亮曰：若因中佛性為結所縛者，結滅則解，名義可尋也。今五陰生滅，前垢後淨，一滅一生初不相及，誰縛誰解也。

Sengliang states: If the buddhadhātu within the cause were bound by defilements, then when defilements are extinguished it would be liberated, and the name and meaning could be traced. But now the five aggregates arise and cease, earlier defilement and later purity; one ceases and one arises, never reaching each other at all—who is bound and who is liberated?
