案僧亮曰：第三難也。初燈小故，不能破於大闇，與闇共住。闇處無明，明則不遍也。

Sengliang comments: "The third objection: because the initial lamp is small, it cannot destroy great darkness, and coexists with darkness. Where there is darkness there is no light, and thus the light is not ubiquitous."
