案法瑤曰：佛若不住教我令得解脫者，則有祕悋，如彼醫也。曇濟曰：雖謂有慈，而心存勝負，傷平等也。

Fayao notes: "If the Buddha does not remain to teach us to attain vimokṣa, he would be hoarding secrets stingily, like that physician." Tanji stated: "Although claimed to possess compassion, his mind retains notions of superiority and inferiority, hurting impartiality."
