6.51

案僧亮曰：帝王之慈，慈及一國，尚行恩赦；佛慈一切，而不見矜耶？法瑤曰：雖說昔非今是，然未為心用，猶為無明所縛，未得解脫，須佛見教也。寶亮曰：此第二章，請辭也。

Sengliang comments: A monarch's benevolence extends to a single country, yet he still issues amnesties; the Buddha's benevolence extends to all, yet will he not take pity?
Fayao comments: Although they say the past was wrong and the present is right, it has not yet become functional in their minds; still bound by ignorance and not yet having attained liberation, they need the Buddha to instruct them.
Baoliang comments: This is the second section, the words of entreaty.
